I knew that someday I had to give in

Trust me, the reason for my impending financial meltdown will be perfumes. I want a dresser full of beautiful scents! I especially love the smell of amber, vanilla, tuberose, woods, grass, coconut, laundry, hawaiian ginger, and melons the most. It might seem like such a trivial thing to indulge in, say, like nail art, but I find that scent has resonance. Scent is a very powerful thing, something that lingers not only physically, but also in memory. There is also that sense of escapism involved; perfume lovers are almost always part escapists at heart. What's so bad anyway with wanting to be transported every once in awhile, even if it's just through scent? I find that the most resounding memories I have are accompanied with distinct scents. My nose will probably remember the nuances of those memories better than I ever will.
A painfully shortened wish list of perfumes I crave:
What are your favorite perfumes?
- Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb
- Lalique Le Parfum by Lalique
- Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille
- Fragonard Belle de Soleil
- Ambra by Etro
- Black Afgano by Nasomatto (this one, I'm just curious about. My friend smelled it once, and he went crazy. It's a hashish scent. I'm all for psychedelic olfactory trips)
- Fracas by Robert Piguet
- Burberry Touch for Women (Best everyday scent, ever.)
- Jeanne Lanvin by Lanvin
- Ambre Cannelle by Creed
