It was my birthday last Monday. 20. It commences the start of my 20th year on Planet Earth, since that fateful day of September 15, 1988. It seems like such a milestone, and frankly, I thought I'd feel and be more mature but I don't and I'm not. And somehow, that's perfectly alright. Live and learn.

Out of the blue, I decided to visit my loves in UST after my class because they're the ones I haven't seen in the longest while. I felt that it was the perfect birthday treat for myself to go out of my way and visit the crazy part of Manila where their university is located :)) (well at least for me it seems crazy.) Julia the pakipot (I want to meet your boy na! The one who jazzes up your life hahahaha) , Vince the flirt, and Cara the one who forgot. Don't worry, I still love you to the moon and back!

It was sweltering hot in UST, but who cares, I had so much fun. These three people are among the few who really know me to the bone (to the marrow even!), and I love them. :) I'm loony and emotional and kooky and moody but they still love me! HAHA. Thanks for the merienda treat in Cerealicious, Vincie!

For dinner, my family whisked me off to Galileo Enoteca, this perfectly charming hole-in-the-wall Italian resto in Don Chino Roces Avenue in Makati. They had an amazing selection of wine, we managed to finish two bottles from a 1992 harvest. Forgot what the name of the wine was.

Their prosciutto and cheese went along so well with the wine. I'd love to be a sommelier someday. I really would :)

Pretty light fixtures.

My Steak Tartaglia which I didn't finish. I had too much wine and appetizers, whoops.

I totally recommend the place for everyone who loves to relish a fine and hearty meal in a resplendent environment. The charm of the whole place really got to me, and it helps that they also have great wine, sumptuous food (try the Mushroom Risotto! Orgasm I tell you), and a great staff. Just like I read from a food blog, Galileo Enoteca is really one of Manila's best kept secrets. A secret I don't intend to keep. :D

Then after a stressful but very productive week in school, my college friends and I went out last night to celebrate at Rockwell. It was a joint celebration for me, Jamie, Gra, Trish and Justin - the September celebrants. Eating out in big groups is so high school but I missed it! So much fun.

For awhile there, I thought I was back in first year college. :)) Had so much fun with them at Dencio's last night. We were a bit noisy and rowdy considering that it was a Thursday night, but what the heck. Happy birthday again to Trish, Jamie, Gra, and Justin! Fun way to cap off a great birthday week. (Last hurrah tomorrow, maybe.)

Add to that my mom's shopping treat for me at Rockwell last Saturday, a new Nintendo DS Lite (yes I'm growing backwards), gestures and greetings that just bowled me over because they were so unexpected (Pao Roces, who I haven't seen in ages, sent me a message in Friendster, how old school could you get. Cute :) And Mati sent me a long handwritten letter with pictures and all through the post all the way from Canada. FROM CANADAAA THROUGH THE POST AKA SNAIL MAIL. My mushy heart is melting) - It's good to be me on my birthday

Here's to being twenty and being forever young, no matter what age.

AND OH. Belated Happy 9th Anniversary too to Arashi! (How meant to be is it that my birthday lands on their anniversary?) I will see you next Sept. 15 on your 10th anniversary concert, wherever that may be! HAHAHAHA. Dreams are free!

Anyway. Blogging overload. Until next :)
