my blue plane
Apr. 12th, 2009 03:42 pmJust flew back from Tacloban earlier today. It was nice visiting my mum's province; idyllic sights, historic places (the Marcoses' Sto. Nino Shrine was crazy opulent, funded, of course, by the Filipino taxpayers. I will post pictures perhaps tomorrow), funny and sometimes strange relatives, and the endless seafood. Nothing much beats eating freshly-caught crabs beside the beach, while the moonlight streaks the black sea. I think I somehow also loved the fact that I was away from the Internet for a week or so. It feels quite freeing.
But yeah. Pictures of that tomorrow. For now, my final exercise for Video Production class.
Don't ask me what it's about, I don't know either. Haha! I just wanted to shoot with my friends in the village, have fun with it, and hopefully pass it off as something intentionally trippy and pastiche-y. (And I just wanted to listen to Everynewthing's song two while I was editing it.)
Too bad I can only upload it here in avi format, it makes the video quality choppier and blurry. But oh well. I had fun making this video. Mario Cornejo said he enjoyed this one, and that he loved that I didn't "assign" characters or whatever he meant by that. Good enough for me. I'm finally done with the subject! Summer, the real summer break (and I think my last) starts in a few days. Can't wait.
