Last night's JEMA party at Fiama was crazy. Trish got so drunk, laughtrip! And I half-kissed Andrea's 16 y/o brother (because of this stupid game). Talk about pedophilia haha! Then open bar. Saw lots of people. It's good to party once in awhile, yes?

2 weeks and counting: I'm still amazed at Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends; it's been on repeat everyday on my iTunes.

It's such a wild departure from the Coldplay that I used to know. I was always the biggest fan of Parachutes (Chris Martin on a recent interview said in jest, "I mean, all we've done really is expand our plagiarizing palette" referring to their first album as their plagiarizing of Radiohead's style. HAHA!!!! But I still love that album forever), then Rush of Blood To The Head, in that order. I had a minor falling out with X&Y, except for a few tracks, they lost me on that one. Didn't hate it, didn't love it. But their newest album has got to be the most epic thing I've heard in years! I almost didn't recognize Chris Martin without his sensitive songwriter mien, or that recognizable falsetto. But I love it. And the textures of sound scattered throughout the album, gorgeous. It's not your Coldplay concert anthem songs, but that is a good thing.

Today, I'm loving Yes, 42, and Violet Hill. 42 is epic - it starts out as sounding like it should be in Rush of Blood To The Head, then midway, the guitars segue to being heavy, driven, and random. You have to hear it to believe how awesome it is.

When are they ever coming to Manila??? C'mon Coldplay!
