Girl on the curb, sipping cheap red wine

I've been stuck recently in a maelstrom of... cheerfulness. I know, how annoying of me. I just love what my days consist of right now: waking up only when my body says "Wake up you lazy tub of lard, you've slept enough", going out almost every night with friends to screech-karaoke at Cable Car (yes, screech) or wherever the night leads us, eating the food I want, drinking whatever and whenever I please, catching up on some reading, shopping, finishing all the DVDs I've bought, spending three hours on coloring books when I'm lazy to go out, everything! In short I'm just a free little bird right now, and I just can't be arsed to look for a job any time soon. Can't.
Anyway today I finished all graduation-related errands. I finally got to pick and buy two dresses for the college grad and the university grad, which are two separate occasions.) After hours of looking around in Greenbelt, Adora saved the day. I just love Adora, and the brands they carry, like Narciso Rodriguez, Jil Sander, Marni, Missoni, D&G, Chloe, etc. It's sort of a curated retail experience. Many people are intimidated by Adora, the opulent interiors can be enough to scare off a non-shopper. But the great thing with Adora is that the interior design allows you to be intimate with the products, and you can take as long as you like looking, and trying on things. Also, they have great, non-smothering service. Back when I was working for a fashion magazine, they never hesitated to help me when I was on pull-out duty (meaning, choosing and getting clothes for shoots and editorials.). And even now when I don't represent a major fashion magazine anymore, they still treat me like a priced customer, like they do everyone who enters the store.

Bought this darling short crushed velvet dress by Jaspal, which is a Thai brand that I really like. Also bought a Best Mountain dress, a brown tailored Stepford Wives-ish creation. I've forgotten how amazing dresses make me feel. I usually don't channel feminine with my sartorial choices, but when I see a dress that fits me great, it just really makes so headachingly happy. Perhaps I might be semi-over my mostly monochromatic, street-style, high-low Susie Bubble inspired hodgepodge of a wardrobe of the past two years. TIme for winsome, feminine, and powerful, I think.
Also, got to finalize details for the graduation after party today. Andrea, Kim, and I are holding a joint graduation celebration for our friends. Fiamma, this Saturday night, doors open at 9, open bar. I'm so psyched! Psyched!
Yes, I'm annoying to be with right now :-)
PS: Perhaps a tiny dent on my cheerfulness can be blamed to the fact that Kaibutsu-kun has ended. Well, except for the SP. I will miss this Ohno, this infuriatingly cute monster version of Ohno. I DEMAND A NEW OHNO DRAMA NEXT, NEXT SEASON. (He can have a little break ♥) Or he can lay off from the dramas altogether and start building up his art works again. I would die for another art exhibit of his works, die.

Date: 2010-06-16 05:12 pm (UTC)IDK why I don't mind it even if he gets super tanned. Secretly I think it's because it makes me laugh at him, like srsly laugh. He looks kind of ridiculous when he's tanned, I laugh and laugh, and it doesn't diminish his appeal for me hahaha
