Mirrin Magazine, Spring 2010. Beautiful hat. If I had the skills I would have loved to be a milliner. I love how hats can be so theatrical and not necessarily hip. Head accoutrements are so underrated! 

Possibly my most favorite Junya Watanabe show: Women's, A/W '09. The headpieces aren't necessarily hats, they are elaborate wigs designed by Kastsuyo Kamo. Something that's almost never absent from Junya Watanabe shows: great hats/ headpieces, and great music. I have a playlist of music used from Junya shows, it's a personal favorite. Music-wise, Puccini's arias were just right for this collection. Say hello to fashion at its most affecting. Sometimes it reduces me to a blubbering maniac frothing at the lips, with swatches of color and fabric constructing a narrative in my head...
