HMM. I am now liking this layout, was first a bit iffy because it's so...massive. But yeah. I like it now. Anyway! I've been amassing quite the number of books that can't fit anymore in the old bookshelf mom bought for me years ago, this cheap but awesome wooden piece from Dimensione. Books are on the floor, on my dresser, on my side desk, under the bed, everywhere (!) and IT'S MAKING ME CRAZY. I feel like a hobo in my own room, not to mention all the unnecessary tripping over books because there's just no more space anywhere!!! I want a bigger, nicer bookshelf for my room, something practical but will fit all my books. Scouring around the net has me seeing some real beauties like:

I'm totally in love with the idea of tables stacked on top of each other.
And the color's nice too! Maybe with a less polished finish?
And like in the picture, it'll fit with my light wooden floors and white walls.

It's just...haunting. For some reason. Very pretty.

Clean, white, functional!

Again, the tables stacked on each other concept. LOVE LOVE LOVE

I'm not usually fond of industrial designs, but this one grabbed my attention.
Kind of like a v. functional library in Japan or something.
I just like how neat it is.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PIECE. Everything about it!

Not feeling the stark pink with the black, but I like the concept.

Pretty! I love the lines.
And I think it accommodates all book sizes, which is a plus

I love unfinished wooden looks, reminiscent of Ikea and Muji stuff.
And I love the aesthetics of this shelf.

Love the ladder concept too!

OR, I CAN JUST SHOVE EVERYTHING INTO SUITCASES.
But that's kind of sad.

I would totally fall for and gush over this if I was a kid.
Well, I AM gushing for it. So pretty!!!!
I'm totally getting my future kid something like this.

Wala lang. I keep on losing bookmarks so it's a waste on me, I think this is a better idea.

I CAN SPEND MORE HOURS JUST SURFING THE NET FOR MORE DESIGNS. Seriously. I just can't pick one that I like the most! I think I'll go consult with the carpenter with what kind of designs he can actually make. (Yes, I'm filching designs off the net and having a karpintero do the handiwork--cheaper, and yes, I can experiment!) I can't wait to actually have it in my room then organize all my books by size/genre. HAHAHAHA. Seriously, I live for stuff like this.

And I do solemnly swear, that one day, my house will have the library of my dreams! Three non-negotiable things in my dream house: a library which will serve as my airy and lovely getaway, clean and spacious bathrooms, and a garden. I don't know about you, but I can't stomach the idea of condo living. I want open and free spaces! If there are bridezillas out there, I think I'm going to be a HOUSEZILLA. Seriously, choosing a bookshelf is causing me this much pain, how much more for a house design and all the inclusive furniture? I'd obsess for years.

Yes, I can just foresee it. I WILL BE A HOUSEZILLA.
