Oh no, Japan.

How sad was Japan's loss to Paraguay? I hated how it happened too. Penalties are never fair, because it rests so much on sheer luck, the way I see it. I hate penalties. When the Japan team was all lined up, kneeling down, arms linked, praying for a goal, everyone in our table was making bad Japanese quips, mine was, "They're all praying to Kami-sama!" LOL DORK, UGH. But yeah, as far as I'm concerned, World Cup 2010 is done. </3 Heartbreaking! (Tiny bit of interest with Netherlands, but... no.) At least I won't hear those vuvuzelas anymore. I swear, the sound it makes gives me the shivers every time, of the tingly, spidery kind. I feel like I'm being attacked by a swarm of hornet or bees ala that sad part in My Girl,  when Macauley Culkin died due to anaphylactic reaction to bee stings. No one should ever die from a bee sting, especially your puppy love, while you're in the midst of said puppy love! That scene never fails to make me bawl like a baby. Never.



Thus, boo you, vuvuzelas.

Anyway, I just came home from 121, and we were watching the game on the big screen over a round of drinks. Tuesdays is Quiz Night at 121; groups of friends team up and gather together to compete in answering questions about sort-of obscure knowledge over drinks, music, and as was the case tonight, a football game. The categories tonight were Ben Stiller movies, Spanish food, 80s lyrics, Old Pinoy television, and monsters. Pretty illuminating, actually; I think it would be more fun if the categories were up my alley, say, like, Lord of The Rings, or fashion photography, or Japanese authors, or Disney, or 90s grunge, or...I don't know what else. Good times though, we won first place! Thanks to Kams for my Quiz Night devirginization. :]

I feel so full, I had dinner at UCC with Claire. We shared a plate of chocolate french toast, and I had a blueberry shake. After that, I had a chicken teriyaki gratin and Claire had pasta. Let me just say that desert should never come before the main meal. My stomach is in shambles.
