death by origami
Mar. 15th, 2009 02:57 amI am in way over my head, and feeling extremely pouty just like Oh-chan in my userpic.
I have to fold at least 200 paper cranes by 4PM tomorrow, well, today, technically. I remember a friend, who was kind of an origami nut, teaching me how to make one back in high school. But that might as well be history with regard to my failing geriatric memory; all I remember was that it starts from a square piece of paper.
As with any great dilemmas, existential musings, soul searching, and especially the big questions concerning humanity and the universe, the answers can be arrived at through the mathematical wonder that is page-rank algorithm and search optimization, otherwise known as.... Google.
Google, what will I do without you?

Good enough, right? But I totally couldn't follow the images to fold a successful crane. I had better luck with this website that gave out 25 steps in making a paper crane. Do the math. 25 steps for one paper crane, 5000 steps for 200 cranes. (Yes I totally used the dashboard calculator on my Mac for that intimidating and debilitating calculation)
What in god's name do I need at least 200 paper cranes for, you ask?
It's props for a short film I'm doing for class. It's kind of central to the whole concept that I drew up, so in a way, I dug my own grave. I'm shooting tomorrow, fine, later, and I'm procrastinating. What's new, yes? I'm going mad. I
In other news, in the far brighter side of the world... Sho has a new drama!!!!!!!!! Arashi, you are my sanity. Truly. And perhaps, maybe the lingering memories of shawarma rice with Mr. Anonymous this week? Dear god this better not be tingles I'm feeling, for all his rancid breath (well I had that too, thanks to delicious yet rather stinky Middle Eastern fare) and his goofy and enchanting smile. It's a most inopportune time to be...tingly. I will be thesis-ing post summer, and man, I need my time and my concentration more than ever. Charming boy = distraction numero uno.
Enough of the rambling. 199 paper cranes to go.
